道县鬼崽岭是一处古老的祭祀遗址为巫教神灵的祭坛，属巫文化遗址署名为陈振元撰书的《游栎头水源坛神记 >遗址现场面貌以及鬼仔俑的数目形体起码在一百多年前就是如此壮观了。碑文对此记叙得非常具体，与今天所见完全是一模一样。一处露天文化遗址饱经沧桑，仍然保存得如此完好无损，未遭破坏和偷盗，这在世界文化遗址及文物的保存史上实属罕见，叹为奇迹。
Gui Zai (ghosts’ son literally) Ling in DaoxianCountyis an ancient sacred site and the altar for Wujiao’s jin, categorized into the Wu Cultural Sites. According to Chen Zhenyuan’s book, at least a hundred years ago, the site scene and the number of Guizai figures were as spectacular as it now looked like, which was narrated clearly in the epigraphy. It is a miracle in the history of world’s cultural sites protection that a cultural site in the open air has been so perfectly preserved after so many years.
