田广洞古民居建筑群占地56750平方米，外围有一面高约2米的围墙环绕，在各个不同方位建有一族或一姓的6个门楼。两条纵巷道环绕全村，十多条横巷道连通南北，外人如果没有村民带路，走进村舍，分不清东西南北，找不到来的路线。该村建筑始建于明末，续建几乎终清一代，少量延续到民国年间。建筑整体布局保存完好，各院布局紧凑，错落有致。建筑均以青砖砌墙，小青瓦盖屋面，高处均修有外窄内宽的枪眼。
Tianguangdong ancient residential building groups cover an area of 56,750 square meters, surrounded by a 2 meters high wall. There set 6 arches over the gateways for a certain gens or clan living in this village in different directions. Two laneways stretching from east to west circle the whole village, and more than ten thwartwise laneways connect north to south. Walking into the village, strangers can hardly identify the directions and find their way back if not led the way by villagers. The village was begun to built in the late Ming Dynasty. After that, the construction work restarted in Qing Dynasty and a few of the building works lasted to the period of Mingguo(the Republic of China). The building groups are preserved well as a whole. The buildings are arranged compactly but strew in order. All were built by laying blue-stones and covered with small blue tiles. High on the wall, there left holes for shooting, which are narrow in the outer side and broad in the inner side.
